“Autumn and Mount Ararat” is a luminous Armenian landscape in which the timeless presence of Mount Ararat rises above a countryside transformed by the colors of autumn.

The painting brings together two powerful symbols of the Armenian landscape: the majestic mountain and the warm, fertile land below it. Golden, orange, red, and green foliage fills the foreground, creating a rich contrast with the cool blue and violet tones of the distant mountains.

The composition is calm and spacious, with Mount Ararat dominating the horizon while the autumn orchard and fields lead the viewer's eye into the depth of the landscape. The soft atmospheric light gives the scene a feeling of serenity and nostalgia.

Through vibrant color and expressive brushwork, Meruzhan Khachatryan presents Ararat not simply as a mountain, but as an enduring symbol of Armenian homeland and memory.

“Autumn and Mount Ararat” is an original contemporary Armenian landscape painting, combining the beauty of the Armenian countryside with the iconic image of Mount Ararat.
